Luis (Champi) became a certified Naturalist Guide
in 1990. Today, he is President of AGIPA (Galapagos Park Interpreter Guides Association), Galapagos' most active guide organization.
Champi’s guiding experience is considerable: he has been a guide in the ecuadorian Amazon region, has worked as a freelance on most local operations and, in the few last years, with private mega-yachts visiting the archipelago. That is how he became part of the crew of S/Y Hyperion for a Pacific crossing and dive trip. He speaks fluent French and English, his mother tongue being Spanish.
Champi is married to Cristina, they both raise Emilio on the islands. Cristina worked for 6 years at the Charles Darwin Research Station. When Emilio was born, a change was due… today she runs Galway.
